Slovak Republic national healthcare covers several healthcare domains
- ePrescription: Electronic prescribing and dispending of medicines, medical devices or dietetic food contributes to effective and meaningful treatment of a patient, and to promote its safety. It covers the lifecycle of electronic drug prescription enabling paperless process with real time monitoring and prevention of potential harm accidentally made by prescribing drugs that may cause unwanted events (drug interaction, contraindication, overdose, …). ePrescription is an equivalent for paper prescription whereas the traditional stamp and signature is substituted by the electronic passport of the health professional.
- eExamination: Creating an electronic record from the examination almost replaces the paper health record. The physician after/during the examination creates an electronic record, which is a part of eHealth System. In the moment of signing via electronic passport, the record becomes a part of electronic healthcare, and the physician after agreement of the patient does not need to print it. Paper record on discharge from institutional healthcare does not need to be carried by the patient to his general practitioner. The general practitioner can view it in the electronic health book of the patient. Provides healthcare professionals with means to record all examinations performed on patient.
- eMedication: sums up all the medication for a single patient from all the sources like prescribed drugs, direct administration of drugs by healthcare personnel .
- eLab: provides electronic process for requesting and obtaining results for laboratory tests.
- Patient Summary: Offers a quick glance at the overall well-being of the patient by displaying crucial set of data from all of the domains above, providing essential clinical data for healthcare coordination. (for example for emergency departments, …). Patient Summary contains contact and clinical patient data. These are uploaded in the system based on records of physicians, pharmacies or hospitals, and based on own patient records as well.
- Electronic Health Book: is a web based presentation portal for patients so they could have online access to their medical records. Health records in Electronic Health Book represent an indispensable tool for the health professionals in charge to successfully set diagnose and following treatment. Patient is informed about his health status online anytime. Electronic Health Book contains records created by health professionals , data from the account of the insuree, and own records, too. Every access and access attempt or data provision attempt is recorded in the health book.
